We ask those seeking advice to contact us as the service provider directly in the case of such issues. We as the service provider take responsibility in guaranteeing and verifying the qualifications of our counsellors. The texts written in chat, meaning their contents as well as the username and the date and time during which the conversation took place, will be saved in a log file due to technical reasons. This applies also if the text conversation took place during a counselling session.
The technical service provider zone35, a digital communications agency, takes no responsibility for the diligence with which the counselling provider handles the usage of the sensitive data of its users, especially regarding the notes or records a counsellor may take during a session. This also remains unchanged if the person seeking counselling reveals their true identity to the counsellor. If a person seeking counselling expresses the intention of suicide: We are obligated to act on such statements by contacting the relevant authorities. If we do not act accordingly after a person seeking counselling has stated a clear, unmistakable intention of suicide, we ourselves become liable to prosectution (§ 323c StGB – Unterlassene Hilfeleistung / failure to provide assistance).
